Our position
This service is a tool. It retrieves media a platform is already serving publicly; it does not host a library, does not index or organise other people's work, and does not make anything available that was not already available to anyone with the link. Whether a particular download is lawful depends on the content, on the rights in it, and on what the person downloading it intends to do with it - things only that person knows. That is not an evasion: it is why the responsibility described next sits with the user, and why this page asks rather than assumes.
What we ask of you
Download media you own, media you have permission to use, or media whose licence permits what you intend to do with it. Where a download is permitted, keep personal copies personal. If you republish anything, credit the creator and make sure you actually have the right to publish it - a credit is not a licence. Do not use this service to redistribute someone else's work as your own, to strip attribution, or to repost content commercially without permission. These are the terms on which the tool is offered, not suggestions.

Copyright law differs substantially between countries, and the exceptions people rely on - fair use, fair dealing, private copying, quotation - are narrower, more fact-specific and less portable across borders than they are usually assumed to be. An exception that covers you in one country may not exist in the next. Nothing on this page is legal advice. If you are unsure whether a particular use is permitted, consult a qualified lawyer where you live before relying on it.
If you are a rights holder
The honest answer differs from what a hosting platform would tell you, because the architecture differs. This service stores no media: files are fetched from the platform at the moment someone asks and passed through, so there is no copy here to take down. Removing a video from this service therefore does not remove it from anywhere, and if a video is removed at the source, this service stops being able to fetch it automatically with no action required from anyone. What can be done, and will be: specific media identifiers or URL patterns can be blocked so the service refuses to process them; a platform or a class of content can be excluded entirely; and a request will be read and answered by a person. What cannot be done is deleting a file that was never stored, or identifying who downloaded something, because no record connecting a person to a download exists. Their use does not imply affiliation with, endorsement by or sponsorship from those companies.
