How to download from LinkedIn
LinkedIn is a signed-in product first, and that is the most important thing to know before copying a link from it. Some public posts and Page videos are served to signed-out visitors; a great deal of the feed is not, and LinkedIn regularly interrupts signed-out browsing with a sign-in prompt. The reliable test is not the shape of the URL - it is whether the post still loads in a private browser window with no account.

Open the post on its own page. Use the timestamp or the menu on the post to reach the post's own page instead of copying while it sits in the feed.
Copy the link to the post. The post menu offers a copy-link option. LinkedIn post addresses generally contain /posts/ with the author and an activity ID, or /feed/update/ with an activity URN.
Test it signed out. Paste it into a private browser window. If LinkedIn shows a sign-in wall rather than the video, the post is not public and there is nothing to fetch.

- lnkd.in is LinkedIn's own shortener. Opening one in a browser gives you the full address, which tells you far more about what you actually have.
- A repost has its own activity ID, separate from the post it repeats. The original post is the better link.
- Video on LinkedIn is very often a company asset produced for marketing. Only save video you own or have permission to use.
