How to download from X (Twitter)
X (Twitter) attaches media to posts rather than hosting it as standalone videos, so the link you need is the link to the post - the one ending in /status/ followed by a long number. The same URL shape works on both x.com and the older twitter.com domain. What complicates things is quote posts and replies, where it is easy to copy the link of the wrong post in the thread.

Open the post by itself. Click or tap the post so it fills the page. On the web, the address bar then shows the handle, /status/ and the post ID.
Use the share icon. The share icon at the bottom right of the post - the arrow coming out of a box - opens a menu with Copy link.
Check you have the right post. In a quote post or a reply chain, make sure the handle in the URL belongs to the account that actually posted the video, not the one commenting on it.
