How to download from Threads
Threads is Meta's text-first app and it is wired directly into Instagram: you sign in with an Instagram account, your handle is your Instagram handle, and a private Instagram account produces a private Threads profile. Posts can carry video, and a public post has a permanent address containing the @handle and a short post code. Threads has used both threads.net and threads.com, and links on either domain refer to the same posts.

Open the post on its own. Tap the post so it fills the screen rather than reading it in the feed. On the web the address bar should then show the @handle followed by a post code.
Use the share option on the post. The share icon under the post offers a copy-link option, which gives you the post's permanent address.
Check you have the right post in the thread. Replies and quoted posts each have their own address. Make sure the handle in the URL belongs to whoever posted the video, not to someone replying about it.
